“Rejection – in the context of Sringaram” invites you to visually experience minimal movements extended in time, opening space for imagination through centred stillness and slowness of the body. This work explores the emotions that arise from separation in a relationship between two people. The movements on three different screens collectively interplay and disentangle the feelings of past and present, the rhythm of human relationship through the language of visuals and music. Inspired by Bharatanatyam’s rich tradition of expressive storytelling, the work explores the density of human relationships through music, facial expression, gestures, and repetition—revealing layered, sensitive emotions.
